OT: IE for Mac...
After a little research I found out that NW6.0 is not compatable with the new Extended Memory 64-bit Technology Xeon processor. Is there a work-around for this? This is not going to help your immediate problem at all, but I can tell you that I have Netware 6.5 servers running on 360 G4's with no issues.

Upgrade & performance issues
I did have an issue with which plug in the back of the PC to plug my speakers into--the speakers did not work under Vista but did under XP, but I figured out how to configure the motherboard to resolve that issue. Second, I activated Vista no problem, but when I tried to register it, the Internet Explorer (IE) link

Well - this is a marketing and not technical/design issue - and it is particularly irritating as the use of these chips on an adapter card would be a way to deal with a potential voltage problem on the dual boards. I hope the adapters will be able to deal with Intel's "fix" (ie castration) of these chips.

Processor Utilizaiton - > 50%
For example, a 1GHz processor would be 133MHz x 7.5 instead of 100MHz x 10. If AMD makes them multiplier-locked, does that mean that a newer (133MHz FSB / KT133A) motherboard will be ESSENTIAL to make them work at full speed ? ie The "C" series Athlons would be slower in an existing ("regular") A7V, for example,

I just wanted to caution that you will need some expertise and be able to remedy some of the issues that might arise. Some folks are ready for that and others aren't You've apparently found a willing technician, but officially hp only supports restoring the machine to "as delivered" condition (ie Media Center).

I don't think it's an /etc/host* issue, as I was connected to the box multiple times (and I tried from multiple IPs). .... Unless I'm mistaken, 4 CPU-intensive threads in a single process should account as 4 CPU-intensive single-thread processes; ie each could only take up to 100% of a core/CPU, accounting for

Processor upgrade issues
I'd disagree with some of what he said: Memory is not an issue unless the system is swapping , if this was the case on your system you would not be able to login. A second processor does not speed up a server but shares load at current processor speed. ie 333Mhz Well, yeah, but that doesn't tell the true story.

(Same heat is required to make Memtst86 an effective diagnostic.) Anything involving disk drive hardware (partitioning or formatting) is irrelevant to your problem.
